Wrapped around a rattan skeleton, the Bakul Bulukun is fashioned from lygodium flexuosum, a kind of creeping fern known locally as lontongungi. Dominic Surad is the only known artisan who creates this basket using the lontongungi fern, making the Bakul Bulukun a rare craft!
